The Piovra XL is a special backpack designed for transporting spearfishing and free diving gear. It features a main compartment large enough to store a pair of long fins (up to 110 cm | 43.3 in) with netting for ventilation. The main compartment can also accommodate a wetsuit, mask, snorkels, belt, and other free diving gear. The backpack has a zipper closure with dual zipper sliders with eyelet for padlocks.

In addition to the main compartment, there is a secondary cooler-type compartment for storing cold drinks or fish. The front of the backpack is equipped with a zigzag elastic cord with an adjustable locker for quick storage. Both sides of the backpack have two elastic bands that are ideal for securing two spearguns. The shoulder straps include a sternum buckle chest strap that is height adjustable for added comfort.

The backpack also features a side handle for easy lifting and a wear-resistant bottom. It has a top hook for hanging the bag. When empty, the backpack's volume can be reduced thanks to the lateral compression straps.

The Cressi piovra fin backpack bag is made from 900/600 denier with 6P free coating and has a blackstrap made from 900 denier reversed. The bag is equipped with SBS #10 zipper closures with pull tab leashes for easy access. The bottom of the bag is made of anti-skid material, and the lining is 210 denier. The piovra backpack is designed in Italy by Cressi and manufactured in China.
